Sears, Sodom and Gomorrah

I worked at the old Sears on 23rd and Penn in Oklahoma City during the early-mid 80’s. Rumor had it the third floor was a bordello for senior management and visiting oil tycoons.

Sure there were swankier places for the big names in the city to go - you know the names - you see them on buildings, streets, municipal centers, lakes - but when they wanted a really good time, they went to the top floor of Sears.

When they tore that fine Mid-Century building down in the 1990's, bras, panties and affordable underwear fluttered down from the top floor as it imploded, confirming the secret.
