The Hawk and the Chihuahua (sans Carlos Castenada)

Right in the middle of downtown Norman yesterday, as we were driving home from church, we saw this very noble hawk swoop down from the top of a power pole then fly off with a squirrel. The hawk is our family emblem so we felt very proud.

In my memory it was a chihuahua, but after careful consultation of my notes, it was a squirrel. Don't know what to make of it being a squirrel though. It must mean that, in the fullness of time, our family will conquer a squirrel.
